This page explains why Distill exists and what we’re building together.
What we do
Distill decodes human truth. We surface the contradictions, frictions, and quiet shifts that shape how people experience wellness, beauty, food, longevity, and culture more broadly — before those shifts harden into mainstream trends.
We are not a trend report. We are not a panel. We are not a research vendor.
We are a working community — a place where strategists, founders, researchers, clinicians, and culture-watchers contribute observations and tension points that, together, become structured intelligence for the brands and operators we serve.
Why this community exists
The wellness industry generates more noise than meaning. Trend reports lag reality by twelve to eighteen months. Survey data reduces lived complexity to scores. Most “insight” is downstream of marketing.
Distill works upstream. We listen for the early signals — the moments when someone abandons a routine, contradicts an expert, or names a frustration that hasn’t been named yet. Each one of those is a data point. Together, they form a more honest picture of where culture is going.
Who this is for
- Brand and category leaders who need to see around corners
- Strategists and planners who want primary signal, not secondhand summary
- Founders building consumer companies in wellness-adjacent categories
- Researchers and clinicians translating practice into pattern
- Cultural critics who treat the wellness economy as serious subject matter
Our editorial standard
We publish what we can defend. Every report we put our name on is grounded in observable signal, structured by taxonomy, and reviewed for both accuracy and intellectual honesty. We name what we don’t know and we resist the pressure to overclaim.
If that resonates, you’re in the right place.
